BlackBerry 7 - The Most Enterprise-Friendly OS

BlackBerry 7 has been voted the most compatible mobile OS for enterprise use, according to research from Trend Micro. According to the research, the platform's security features were a key driver. It scored highly in the areas of application security, authentication, device wipe, device firewall and virtualisation.

The research seemingly validates RIM's recent decision to refocus efforts on the business market. After all, as Tim Hodkinson, director of enterprise marketing for BlackBerry in EMEA is quick to point out, it's where the company got its start.

“Our heritage lies in delivering enterprise-grade mobile computing," says Hodkinson. "Recent innovations, such as BlackBerry Mobile Fusion and BlackBerry Balance, reinforce our strength and expertise in the business market, helping us build on our leadership position in meeting the mobile communications and security requirements of public and private sector organisations of all sizes.”
