Voda Confirms C&W Interest

Vodafone has confirmed that it is “in the very early stages” of evaluating the merits of a potential offer for Cable & Wireless. The company confirmed the news in response to recent press speculation, but says there is no certainty that an offer will be made, nor any confirmation as to the terms on which any offer might be made, other than that any offer, if made, will be in cash.
