Infographic: 17 per cent of Fans Watching Euro 2016 on Mobile

Nearly a fifth of football bans will be watching at least one Euro 2016 match on their mobile phone, with 40 per cent of viewers using smartphone apps to stay up-to-date on highlights, clips, stats and news from the tournament.

Those stats come from a new report on mobile at Euro 2016 from Opera Mediaworks, which also revealed that, among millennials, 20 per cent plan to place a bet on the outcome of a Euro 2016 match using a mobile app, and 33 per cent consider themselves likely to look up an ad after seeing it on TV during Euro 2016 coverage.
