Engagement marketing and software solutions company Marketo has acquired ToutApp, a sales engagement software company, to enrich its ‘portfolio of solutions for aligning sales and marketing’. The terms of the deal are undisclosed.
With the acquisition, Marketo hopes to use ToutApp’s solutions, together with its own engagement platform, to enable marketing to partner more closely with sales in communicating with customers and prospects at scale.

ToutApp uses tracking, templates and analytics to help sales teams ‘engage prospective customers in a personalised way to drive revenue growth’.
According to Marketo, ToutApp already boasts more than 100,00 salespeople and over 400 enterprise customers, including Citrix, GE, Siemens, and more.
