MWC: More Handsets

Samsung announced its Galaxy Beam handset, featuring a 15 lumens projector that can beam the devices 4” screen onto a screen – or wall – at a size of up to 50’’ wide, using a projector app. The handset runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and is powered by a 1.0GHz dual-core processor.

Huawei is launching the Ascend D, a quad-core smartphone which the company claims could be the fastest in the world. Running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich, the handset boasts 1.2GHz and 1.5GHz processors, and a 2500mAh battery which should last for three days of normal usage.

Finally – for now – Orange announced its latest own-brand smartphone, codenamed the Santa Clara available in the UK and France, running Gingerbread by default but upgradeable to Ice Cream Sandwich.
