New Tinder subscription level lets you see who already likes you

Tinder Gold
Dating app Tinder has introduced a new paid subscription level, Tinder Gold, which provides users with access to a number of existing premium features on the platform, as well as a new ability to see which other users have marked them as a potential date before they make their own decision.

Tinder already offers a paid subscription level, called Tinder Plus, which provides users access to features called ‘Rewind’ (allowing you to revise your most recent swipe) and ‘Passport’ (which enables users to change their location in anticipation of a trip or holiday). Tinder Plus also gives subscribers additional Boosts, which place the user among the top profiles in their area for 30 minutes, and Super Likes, which highlight particularly appealing matches.

Tinder Gold subscribers will get access to all these features as well as the ability to see whether or not other users have already matched them as they navigate their way through the app. The service is set to be tested in Argentina, Australia, Canada and Mexico in the next few days, with plans to roll it out as an option for all users soon.

A pricing level has not been revealed for Tinder Gold, with the company reportedly seeking to experiment with different pricing levels as part of the testing process. Tinder Plus costs $9.99 (£7.70) in the United States, but attracted criticism in the UK when it was launched for offering users aged under 28 the service for £3.99 a month, while charging users 28 and over £14.99 a month. Tinder Plus offers discounted subscriptions for longer periods of time (six or 12 months, as opposed to month-to-month), and Tinder Gold is expected to operate on a similar basis.
