PubMatic announces fraud-free program, promising refund if fraud is detected

PubMaticPublished-focused sell-side platform (SSP) PubMatic has introduced a fraud-free guarantee in order to increase supply chain transparency and address demand-side ad fraud.

The fraud-free program has a money-back guarantee for PubMatic’s demand-side partners. If any fraud is detected on PubMatic’s platform, the company’s demand-side partners don’t have to pay for it.

In order to combat ad fraud, PubMatic has put in place a dedicated global inventory quality team and operational processes. In addition, it carries out daily reporting reviews, and communicates any issues found with the publisher so a plan of action can be developed.

PubMatic is also fully engaged with the IAB Tech Lab’s ad.txt initiative. This initiative enables publishers to declare which sellers are authorised to distribute its inventory with the aim of stopping bad actors from profiting off of counterfeit inventory.

Furthermore, The Komli-owned company partners with MRC-accredited inventory quality vendors, like IAS and White Ops, for brand safety check and inventory screening.
