Snap takes its Accelerate program global

Snap is opening up its Snap Accelerate programme to startups globally after launching in the US in October.

Snap Accelerate offers VC-backed startups resources and benefits to kickstart and scale their advertising business on Snapchat. The programme is aimed at early-to-growth stage startups with an expertise in the digital space and with performance-based, DR-driven marketing strategies. Ideal participants for the programme include consumer-focused businesses in the user/customer acquisition stage; mobile commerce startups; and mobile gaming and entertainment companies.

Program members will gain access to a package of benefits, resources, and services valued at up to £75,000 depending on their needs, including media value; creative services; a company-branded filter; early access to new ad products; priority access to Snap’s self-service buying tools and to Snapchat Ads Partners; education from Snap’s team, including invitations to Snap events; and priority business and tech support.

Snap has been meeting with VC funds, accelerators, and other strategic partners to begin working with startups for the programme. BUX, a mobile app that allows millennials to discover the financial markets will join the Snap Accelerate programme in 2018. Tim Vogel, head of performance marketing at BUX said: “It’s key for us to work with partners like Snapchat that understand mobile and offer tailored mobile experiences. By enrolling in the Snapchat accelerate program, BUX will attract and engage younger generations using leveraging Snapchat’s rich creative advertising formats and tools.”

Snap is currently accepting applications for its 2018 Accelerate programme wave to start on 1 January 2018. You can apply to join here
