Swiftkey Introduces Branded Keyboards to Android

frozen keyboard theme swiftkeyThird-party keyboard app SwiftKey has begun offering branded keyboard themes to Android users, starting with a collection of themes inspired by Disneys hit film Frozen.

The branded keyboards come six months after the app launched a store for premium themes for Android users, which it uses to maintain revenues after it switched from a paid-for app to a free service.

The initial wave of six themes can be purchased individually for $1.99 (£1.27) or as a pack for $4.99.

SwiftKey has confirmed it is “actively engaged” in introducing more branded keyboards in the future, which will feature not only custom backgrounds but also unique flow trails used to indicate users swipe-to-type patterns.

Currently, the branded and themed keyboards are only available to Android users, but are expected to roll out to iPhone in 2015, now iOS 8 has enabled third-party keyboards to be used with Apple products.
