Sybase Upgrades Mbanking Platform

Sybase 365 has announced the release of the latest version of its mobile banking platform, Sybase mBanking 365 version 2.0. Sybase says the release focuses on minimising deployment time for banks, credit card issuers, brokerages and other financial institutions.
Sybase says that Sybase mBanking 365 v.2.0 allows easy mobile banking integration with the banks existing core banking systems. The Operational Module enables banks to have complete control over their new mobile banking channel, the company says.
Previous implementations of Sybase eBanking and mBanking products resulted in connectors for 11 different core banking systems, 11 middle-ware methods and 25 of the most common banking applications. Sybase mBanking 365 exploits this heritage, making it even easier for banks to integrate mobile banking in a standards based manner.
Sybase says the solution will also increase efficiencies in operating and maintaining mobile services and products, due to the flexibility of its operational module. Banks will have complete control over customer profile management, including support for customer self-service and bank employee. With single sign-on and web-services support, this can be easily integrated into existing customer management systems.
Sybase mBanking 365 v.2.0 includes numerous enhancements to existing features, including an extension of the flexibility of supporting mobile alerts with the Universal Alerts Engine that can now integrate to existing external alerts engines as required.
A major roadblock in launching mobile banking services lies in integrating services with existing core banking systems, says Matthew Talbot, Vice President, mCommerce at Sybase 365. Many providers are focusing on a one-size fits all approach that severely slows speed to market, reduces the number of supported services, and requires a great deal of effort from internal bank IT teams. In this product release, weve focused on making Sybase mBanking 365 easy to deploy.
