Atlanta United launches 2023 kit with AR experience

To kick off the 2023 season, US soccer club Atlanta United has launched its new 17’s soccer kit with an augmented reality (AR) experience for fans created by Zappar. Via the official team app, fans can take a selfie to scan their face and Zappar’s Avatar Creator software converts it into a 3D avatar that puts the fans into the new kit and lets them see themselves kick a ball around and feel what it’s like to be on the team this new season.
“Equal parts grit & glory, equal parts supporter and club, our 2023 primary kit is a throwback to where it all began. This kit is for you, our supporters. Every stitch embodies the spirit of 17 because everything we earn, we earn together,” an Atlanta United spokesman said.
