Cheetah Mobile rebrands mobile ad business to focus on vertical video

Chinese mobile internet company Cheetah Mobile has rebranded its mobile ad business as it begins to focus strongly on vertical video ads.

Cheetah Ads, formerly Cheetah Ad Platform, offers full screen vertical video ads for several contexts including pre-social moments, in-social activity, personalised content moment, and utility moments. It claims to use AI to ‘reach the right audience, at the right time, in the right format throughout the entire purchase cycle’.

“Cheetah Ads intelligently targets vertical video ads across the entire mobile journey,” said Scarlett Xiao, SVP for global marketing and business development at Cheetah Mobile. “Our technology has the power to transform ads into useful and desirable experiences to the delight of both users and brand advertisers.”

Cheetah boasts a global reach of over 612 monthly active users from more than 200 countries across its inventory, which includes News republic and CM Security, and partner apps, such as Musical.ly.
