Butter brand Country Life has updated its Great British Picnics iOS app with a new Randomiser function. This lets users choose a picnic spot at random, based on your current location and facilities at various spots around the country.
The user has to select a radius of how far they are willing to travel, and then shake the phone. The app will then select a suitable picnic location at random.
As well as the Randomiser function, the Great British Picnics app aims to offer ideas to keep kids entertained in the summer holidays. It includes instructions on how to play traditional games such as British Bulldog, as well as an app-assisted Treasure Hunt, bird-spotting, cloud-gazing and tree-finding guides.
The app also offers 32 summer recipes, and a Farm shop finder.
