Music streaming service Deezer has penned an exclusive advertising partnership with Targetspot, a digital audio advertising firm. The deal makes Deezer’s audio inventory available through Targetspot in the US, Canada, The Netherlands, Spain, and Italy.
Advertisers and brands will be able to purchase Deezer’s audio inventory and gain access to millions of active music fans around the world through Deezer’s streaming service and Targetspot’s sales and targeting capabilities.
“It was important for us to find an ad sales house partner in some of our key markets. Deezer has built a high-quality audience and advertising ecosystem, with a well-established in-house advertising sales house,” said Marianne le Vavasseur, vice president of ad sales at Deezer. “The partnership with Targetspot and the help of their sales team will let us speed up the monetisation of our free audiences through audio formats in the five countries covered by the agreement.”
Alexandre Vekhoff, executive vice president of global business development at Targetspot, added: “This exclusive partnership is a fantastic match between Targetspot’s leading ability to monetise digital audio and Deezer’s high end audio streaming platform. Welcoming Deezer in our global offering propels new heights to our mission to connect brands to the most diversified and engaged audiences.”
Earlier this year, Targetspot entered into a partnership with SoundCloud to give advertisers access to the open audio platform’s audio and video inventory programmatically and directly via Targetspot in France, Germany, and The Netherlands. A few months later, this partnership was extended to Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland.
