Independent app store GetJar has opened new offices in the tech hub of Seattle. The company was originally founded in Lithuania in 2004, opening its first US office in 2009, and recently claimed it was achieving 3m daily app downloads from its store.

“We have been able to aggressively grow our business with game-changing programs like GetJar Gold, and a value proposition for consumers that even the biggest app stores can’t match,” says GetJar CEO Ilja Laurs. “Seattle is such an incredibly vibrant innovation and tech center in the US that it was a natural place for us to turn to for expansion of our American team.”
