JICWEBS goes full-time, becomes a limited company

Richard Foan

UK online ad trading industry body JICWEBS has made a number of changes, which it claims will help it better tackle the threats of online ad fraud and brand safety.

JICWEBS is changing from a part-time entity into a full-time operating limited company, with Richard Foan as executive chairman. Foan is stepping down from his position as group executive director of communication & innovation at media certification company ABC, where he has spent 33 years.

Also joining the company is Susan Hansford, formerly of Microsoft, who will take the position of senior business development manager, responsible for encouraging companies to sign up for JICWEBS certification.

“JICWEBS is committed to supporting trusted digital ad trading for all parties,” said Foan. “Although we’ve already established a strong base, tackling the issues facing digital advertising requires dedicated resource and full-time attention, which is now feasible with the extra investment and support of the key trade bodies and subscribers.”

JICWEBS is co-owned by four trade bodies: the IAB, AOP, ISBA and IPA.
