Line Corp teams up with the International Vaccine Institute to encourage vaccinations

The International Vaccine Institute (IVI) has announced a new partnership with Line Plus Corporation, the Korea-based subsidiary of mobile messaging platform Line Corporation. As part of the collaboration, Line Plus Corp has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and will use its mobile platform to help encourage users to seek vaccinations.

Line Plus Corp will begin the initiative by creating an Official Account for the IVI, which will be available in Indonesian, Thai, and English, starting today. Line users will be able to seek reliable knowledge from the IVI using the Official Account, including information on infectious diseases and the usefulness of vaccines.

For the next week, which is also World Immunization Week (April 24 -30), IVI will be launching multiple social media campaigns, with the aid of Line, to encourage users to get vaccinated and support global health equality. Additionally, Line will be offering special edition digital sticker sets to users, with the proceeds going to funding IVI’s immunization programs in Southeast Asia.

Line’s portfolio of mobile products consists of a messaging app, a sticker and creator market app, a gaming app, a family security app and more. The IVI is a non-profit organization that has helped develop and deliver vaccines for diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and soon, COVID-19.
