LoopMe Lands $4m Funding

LoopMeMobile video platform LoopMe has closed a $4m (£2.7m) funding round, completing the $7m Series A funding it began in 2014.

LoopMes platform uses algorithms to optimise ad placements in real-time, with a DMP (Data Management Platform) for targeting and retargeting through customisable audience segmentation. It covers pre-roll, HTML5 and VAST ad formats and reaches over 1bn consumers worldwide through integration with programmatic ad exchanges and direct publishers.

Founded in 2012, LoopMe has opened offices in France and Germany in the past quarter. Alongside the funding, it also announced a profitable quarter – though no figures were given – for Q4 2015, its first since Q1.

“We see this stage of LoopMe’s growth as the first step in a much longer journey,” said CEO and co-founder Stephen Upstone. “LoopMe has a global footprint through US, Europe and Asia and our unique use of big data and artificial intelligence will enable us to remain at the forefront of what is sure to be the era of data driven video advertising.”
