Marmalade Launches iOS-to-Android Porting Tool Juice

MarmaladeMarmalade has launched Juice, a porting tool that enables game developers to recompile the Objective-C code of iOS apps to run on Android.

Once the apps have been compiled into Marmalade, devs will potentially be able to push their game to further platforms in the future.

“Adding Marmalade Juice to our powerful SDK means that at last developers have an easy way to extend from iOS to the now dominant Android market, using technology from a company that has grown up with mobile gaming,” said Harvey Elliott, CEO, Marmalade Technologies. “The release of Marmalade Juice underlines the long established aims of Marmalade in ensuring that operating across platforms can be a sustainable strategy for the developer and the industry as a whole.”

Juice will be included as standard as part of all Marmalade licenses.
