The Future of Mobile

Morocco Sings Along With KaraoPhone

Value Added Services provider OnMobile has launched its KaraoPhone application with Jet Multimedia Morocco. A subscriber can call the service, select a song, sing along, and get a score and a rank that can be shared through social networks. The service is tied to TV's Studio 2M, a Moroccan singing competition. The KaraoPhone software is language-agnostic, and will be launching in Mali shortly.

OnMobile's CEO Arvind Rao says: “Africa is a high-growth value-added services market and we are happy to extend our offerings to mobile subscribers in Morocco. The amalgamation of the popularity of Karaoke in Morocco, coupled with our revolutionary music products, should result in high market penetration and revenues. Also, our success in operating in the emerging markets for more than a decade will help us provide a more enriching mobile experience to compliment Jet Multimedia’s entertainment portfolio.”
