Cambolive appointed CEO of the Renault brand
Fabrice Cambolive has been appointed CEO of the Renault brand, reporting to Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group.
In his new role, Cambolive will work together with the Renault brand Management Committee to consolidate the sustainable and profitable development of the Renault brand. He will also ensure the transformation of the brand, with the launch of 14 new vehicles by 2025, and through its expansion in Europe and internationally.
Cambolive graduated from TBS Education Business School in Toulouse, France. He joined Renault Group in 1992 and held various international Sales & Marketing positions for 20 years in Spain, Switzerland, France, Germany and Romania.
His international career continued in 2011, when he was appointed Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Russia and Eurasia region, before being appointed as CEO of Renault do Brasil in 2015. In 2017, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Chairman of the Africa-Middle-East-India-Pacific region. In 2021, Cambolive was nominated Senior Vice President, Sales & Operations for the Renault brand, in charge of deploying the Renaulution strategic plan globally and leading the brand’s business model transformation. He was appointed Renault brand COO in May 2022.

Hollins to lead Specsavers UK marketing team
Specsavers has appointment Neil Hollins to the newly-created role of UK & ROI Board Trading Director, with accountability for the UK marketing operations, mirroring the regional structure in other global markets.
Hollins moves from Specsavers Northern European region. He will lead the UK marketing team responsible for the strategic and creative development of the award-winning work Specsavers are known for. Prior to Specsavers, he worked at Dixons Carphone, where he played a critical role in the transformation of the Dixon’s business and was part of the team that oversaw the merger with Carphone Warehouse. He finished his tenure as Chief Marketing Officer.
Chris Carter, previously Marketing & eCommerce Director (UK, Ireland & Spain) will leave UK marketing and move to a group strategy role. He is replaced by Victoria Clarke who has been promoted to Marketing Services Director and a new Marketing Director for Optics and Domiciliary who is yet to be appointed. Peter Wright remains group Chief Marketing Officer overseeing the group-wide Marketing framework.

Weetabix welcomes back Theokli as Marketing Director
Weetabix has welcomed Francesca Theokli back to the role of Marketing Director following her maternity leave. Theokli said she is excited to take the helm once more. “We started as we mean to go on this year with our brilliant ‘Any-Which-Way-A-Bix' campaign launching across TV and digital, in conjunction with a free-to-download recipe book full of budget-friendly, all-day recipe ideas,” she said. “We continue our partnership with the FA, and I can’t wait to see the nation tucking into their Weetabix as the perfect partner to the Australia and New Zealand Women’s World Cup this summer. These morning matches will set the stage for a brilliant summer of sport that will be sure to inspire the next generation of female football talent currently being nurtured in Weetabix Wildcats teams across the country. Coupled with the brilliant NPD and further partnerships we will be announcing across our whole portfolio, 2023 is going to be another stellar year for Weetabix.”
Helena Wright has also returned from maternity leave, but has come back in a new role as Head of Innovation and Insight with a more helicopter category view that will benefit from the skills and knowledge gained during her five-year tenure with Weetabix to date.
Hannah Shorley has been promoted to Senior Brand Manager of Weetabix, where she’ll now represent Weetabix Original, Weetabix Flavours and Weetabix Protein after impressing with her work managing the Alpen brand. Finally, Virginia Farbon will continue her work as Oatibix Brand Manager but will now take on wider responsibility for Weetabix Crispy Minis and Melts.
Krichefski appointed CEO for EMEA and the United Kingdom at GroupM
GroupM, has appointed Josh Krichefski to the newly-created position of GroupM CEO for EMEA and the United Kingdom.
Krichefski will succeed Demet Ikiler, who is stepping down from her position as CEO for GroupM EMEA and WPP Country Manager for Turkey at the end of the month, and Karen Blackett OBE, who served as GroupM’s U.K. CEO until her elevation to a new role as president of WPP in the UK last September.
Krichefski will be responsible for managing GroupM’s business strategy, operations, and growth across EMEA and the United Kingdom. GroupM represents $23bn in advertising investment in EMEA and the UK. It employs more than 16,000 individuals across 42 markets in EMEA through its agencies Mindshare, Wavemaker, EssenceMediacom, and mSix&Partners, as well as its investment division, Motion Content Group, and GroupM Nexus.
Krichefski, who is based in London, has been part of GroupM since 2011 when he first joined MediaCom as Chief Operating Officer for EMEA. Since that time, he has played a critical part in the agency’s growth, modernisation, and day-to-day operations, most recently leading the integration of EssenceMediacom as Global COO.
Krichefski is known across GroupM and the industry more broadly as a champion for cultural change and mental health awareness initiatives. He is a trustee of Transformation Trust, advancing career development opportunities for children from underprivileged backgrounds. He is also a Founding Member the World Wellbeing Movement and the MS Society Appeal Board.

Werner to head up European operations at Nokia
Nokia has appointed Rolf Werner as Senior Vice President of its European region, reporting directly to Chief Customer Experience Officer, Ricky Corker.
Bringing more than 25 years’ experience to the role, Werner joins Nokia from Cognizant Technology Solutions, where he was the CEO of Germany, with responsibility for the DACH region. Under his leadership, the company delivered double-digit growth for the region, including the acquisition of ESG Mobility. He has also held senior positions at Fujitsu, Global Logic, and T-Systems.
At Nokia, Werner will help drive Nokia’s already significant growth and market share. In addition, he will deepen Nokia’s relationships with key European customers and support the company’s growth ambitions into new market segments. Nokia will continue to support Europe’s ambitions to be a powerhouse of innovation, globally, and Werner’s team will guide CSPs and Enterprises as they deploy 5G, fibre broadband and private wireless networks.

G2 eSports unveils senior leadership team
G2 Esports has announced its new senior leadership team. Alban Dechelotte has been promoted to CEO, after holding an executive position at the organisation for the last two years. His experience includes previous roles at Havas, The Coca-Cola Company and Riot Games.
Sabrina Ratih has also joined the company as Chief Operating Officer, bringing to the role vast corporate and entrepreneurial experience across commercial, D2C and Web3. Finally, Philippe Adam is promoted to Chief Financial Officer. His extensive experience includes managing several strategic, financial, acquisitive initiatives globally.
G2 recently expanded its operations in North America with the creation of a brand new team to compete in the VALORANT Challengers North America league. Meanwhile, in the entertainment space, G2 marked its latest expansion with the release of its latest alt-rock single, ‘Detonate’. The track was developed in-house by G2 and will serve as the organisation’s 2023 anthem.
In the past seven years, G2 has built a global fanbase of over 35m fans spanning EMEA, North American, Latin America and Asia Pacific. It currently counts the likes of Logitech, Red Bull, Herman Miller, Oakley, Ralph Lauren and Mastercard amongst its strategic commercial partners.

Ozone goes on a promotion run
Digital advertising platform, Ozone, has announced a number of senior internal promotions across the team as the business aligns itself for further growth in 2023.
Sophie Shead has been appointed to the role of Sales Operations Director, a new position created to lead Ozone’s trading operations, publisher operations and marketplace operations teams. She will be responsible for maximising efficiencies, optimising performance and developing best practice across all three teams.
In the commercial team, Joel Woodage has been appointed to the new role of Head of Independent Agency Sales; Danny Geelan to the new role of Head of HoldCo Agency Sales; and Bill Dennett to the new role of Head of Regional Agency Sales, UK&I. All three will report to Commercial Trading Director, Jacque Chadwick, and will work with their respective agency leads to foster the most effective working relationships with Ozone’s advertising customers.
In addition, Ozone also announced five other internal promotions with Jack Oates promoted to Senior Agency Partner and James Clarke to Senior Client Services Manager. Mercedes Shackleton becomes Publisher Account Manager, Maff Brown is now Senior Publisher Operations Manager, while Conor Reed has advanced from Ozone’s internship programme into the role of Junior Trader.

Teads promotes Pintarelli
Teads has announced the promotion of Monique Pintarelli to President, North America. In her new role, Pintarelli will continue to report to Teads co-CEO Jeremy Arditi and expand her purview from commercial leadership to full P&L responsibility for US and Canada. Her appointment comes at a time when the end-to-end omnichannel platform continues to evolve its solutions to futureproof partner success and deliver better business outcomes for brands.
Pintarelli joined Teads in 2018 as Senior Vice President, West Coast Sales, with considerable TV and digital media experience. Most recently as Chief Revenue Officer, she oversaw US teams, including sales, creative strategy, customer experience, insights, and marketing. Pintarelli’s focus as a sales leader has centered around successfully building a world-class client experience for brands and agencies. In her most recent role, she has reorganized and scaled Teads’ US commercial operations. Her leadership led to the fastest revenue growth for the US market in recent Teads’ history.
Prior to Teads, Pintarelli served as Vice President, Sales at Viant Technology, helping clients leverage data and technology to achieve their digital goals. She started her career at Turner Broadcasting, where she spent 15 years in various roles across TV, Digital & Performance Marketing, most recently as Vice President, Sales Manager working across Turner’s portfolio of brands, including CNN, TBS and Turner Sports.
Pintarelli’s promotion is a testament to Teads’ mission to building a representatively diverse executive team. In North America, 62 per cent of Teads’ leadership are female which is 33 per cent above industry average, according to She Runs It and Diversity Best Practices’ #Inclusive100 benchmark.

Groucutt to head up creative for VCCP’s Retail Experience team
VCCP London has expanded its Retail Experience team, launched last December, with the hire of a new Creative Director, Darren Groucutt. He will lead the creative output of the specialist Retail Experience capability working with clients such as Canon, Cadbury and Wickes.
The team is dedicated to connecting the frequently disparate worlds of brand and buying. In his role Groucutt will work with colleagues from across the VCCP Group, and will be part of the RX leadership team with Rob Sellers, Steph Thomas and Stephen Renou.
Groucutt joins VCCP from The Marketing Store (TMS) where he was the Brand Experience Creative Director. He was central to TMS's new business growth and has been responsible for creating and delivering global brand awareness content for McDonald's Happy Meal and the digital transformation of McDonald's Drive-Thrus in the UK.
Groucutt is known for generating modern retail experiences which put the customer at the heart of multiple channels, and ideas that cover every area from rich physical experiences to seamless digital and commerce solutions. In the past he has also been responsible for creating groundbreaking online experiences for power tool giant DeWalt, and played a key part in the redesign of mercedez-benz.com, and led online campaigns, experiential retail, and pop up showrooms with unique test drive experiences for the car maker.

Ogury promotes Martin to CEO role
Personified advertising firm Ogury has promoted former COO Geoffroy Martin to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Former Ogury CEO Thomas Pasquet, who co-founded the company and served in the role for eight years, will transition to Chairman of the Board.
Martin has over 25 years of experience in tech companies. Prior to joining Ogury, he was General Manager and Executive Vice President of Growth Portfolio at Criteo, where he created and significantly grew the retail media division. Before that, he was CEO of Art.com, which he grew to become the world’s largest online art retailer. In his new role, Martin will set and execute Ogury’s strategy, mission, vision and culture to accelerate its worldwide expansion.

Cave takes up senior podcast role at Bauer Media
Bauer Media Audio UK is growing its podcasting business with the appointment of Lucie Cave to the new role of Chief Creative Officer – Podcasts and Commercial Content.
As well as being a successful editor, presenter and podcast host, Cave has held the role of Chief Content Officer at Bauer Media, leading creative campaigns between Bauer’s audio and publishing brands and commercial partners. This new position will see her tie together her creativity and commercial knowledge with her extensive award-winning editorial and journalism experience.
She said: “This is a brand-new era for podcasting as we move beyond 'format' to atomised content across multiple platforms. As an editor, journalist and host myself I am massively excited by the opportunity to develop talent into transmedia brands and find new ways of reaching fans and building audiences.”

Reddit promotes two, hires two more
Reddit has promoted Harold Klaje to the newly-created role of Chief Revenue Officer, and Neal Hubman to Vice President of Global Client Solutions. Reddit has also hired Ori Schnaps as VP of Engineering Core Product, and Milana McCullagh as VP of Legal.
Since joining Reddit in 2020, Klaje has grown the global sales organisation by roughly 5x, leading the establishment of dedicated teams in the UK, Canada, Germany, France and Australia, and has significantly increased Reddit’s active advertiser base across all clients.
He said: “It’s really something to look back at the growth of Reddit’s ads business in the last three years. We’ve gone from a place for advertisers to test and learn to true, full funnel, strategic partners and are now at a point where we’re onboarding new advertisers every day. It’s been an absolute career highlight to grow and oversee Reddit’s sales organization in a period of such transformation and growth, and I'm privileged to continue to do so via this new position that speaks volumes to the team’s success and future potential.”
Hubman will continue to report to Klaje in his new role. Over the course of his tenure, he has led Reddit’s North American Large Customer Sales team and established its regional Mid Market and SMB Sales teams in North America. This latest role sees Hubman lead the team behind a range of strategic and commercial benefits geared at setting clients up for long term success on Reddit.
McCullagh will continue to strengthen Reddit’s legal function by driving key strategies around issues management and business expansion, as well as advising on critical public policy matters. She brings two decades of deep legal expertise across content regulation, advertising, privacy, AI, and cryptocurrency, and most recently was VP, Legal and Deputy General Counsel at Coinbase.
As VP of Engineering of Core Product, Schnaps is responsible for overseeing Reddit’s engineering teams responsible for content, creation, consumption, moderation, onboarding, channels, and internationalization. With over two decades of technical engineering and finance experience, he was previously at Meta, where he focused on identity and community building.
UniDays appoints identity specialist, Wheeler
Student Affinity Network, UniDays, has appointed Michelle Wheeler as Managing Director, Identity.
UniDays enables brands to verify and connect with over 200m students across 115 markets worldwide. With three decades of experience in the identity business, Wheeler has seen time and again the need and challenge facing businesses in establishing the digital trust necessary to facilitate meaningful interactions with consumers online.
In her new role, she will be focused on strengthening UniDays’ brand partners’ access to the student audience, while offering benefits and services to students.
Based in Miami, Florida, Wheeler’s previous roles have included Business Leader & Co-Founder of XOR Data Exchange, and Vice President of Business Development at ID Analytics. She was most recently Senior Vice President at identity, verification and authentication solutions company Prove.

Jungle Creations hires Dehdashti as Head of Creators
Social-first publishing firm Jungle Creations has appointed Nader Dehdashti as Head of Creators. The newly-created role will see Dehdashti launching and leading Jungle Creators, the latest full service offering from the business aiming to help creators in the digital and traditional space to monetise content, grow new audiences and connect them to the biggest brands to produce award-winning campaigns.
Dehdashti brings a wealth of experience in talent management in the television and entertainment sectors, including five years within the producing department for Big Brother at Endemol Shine. Most recently he was Senior Talent Manager at global talent agency, YMU, managing TV stars including Stephen Mulhern, Rylan Clark, Emma Willis and Finn Harries. In addition to his role at Jungle Creations, Dehdashti co-founded and still runs his own youth mental health charity, Happy Space, that has helped provide wellbeing resources to over 40,000 children across the UK.
He said: “Having worked with some incredible talent over the last 10 years, I am eager to bring my more traditional creator-led knowledge to the digital space and I can’t think of a better place to do that than at Jungle. I’m obsessed with talent and culture, particularly how pop culture influences everyday life, so I was really drawn by Jungle’s ethos. I’m excited to build on their existing creator offering, bringing my personal experience of working in mental health alongside nurturing digital talent feels vital to unlocking a new area of business to help creators form their careers from start to finish."
Initially Nader will be tasked with growing the new Creators division that supports both the media and commercial arms of the business. Alongside this he will be tasked with growing new revenue streams and doubling the size of the team within year one.
Digital agency Organic has appointed Laura Simpson-Jones to the role of Strategic Account Director. She will be leading on a number of Organic’s key clients, including Decathlon and Dentally.com. She Laura has just under a decade of experience working on accounts including Brittany Ferries, Rodda’s, Bottlegreen and Shloer. She joins from Bray Leino where she was Media Manager. Prior to that she spent over five years at The Specialist Works, first as a Senior Planner/Buyer and AV Specialist, before undertaking her role there as Senior Client Manager.
Creator marketing agency, Billion Dollar Boy (BDB), has hired Sophie Crowther as European Director of its newly-formed Community Management division. BDB said the division enhances BDB’s talent identification capabilities in European markets. The division is also responsible for strengthening talent and agency relationships, improving the industry experience for creators and clients and unlocking new opportunities to optimise campaign collaborations. Crowther joins BDB with over eight years’ experience across the APAC and EMEA regions, following previous positions as Head of Talent at Brave Bison for over six years and, most recently, as Senior Influencer Marketing Manager at MediaMonks. Having worked with content creators worldwide and across a range of verticals, Crowther offers in-depth knowledge of the global creator economy and the value of creators within it. She is supported by Tatum Greig, appointed as European Senior Community Manager, following more than 18 months’ experience at BDB in account management.
Frederico Lopes has joined independent digital agency, Link Agency as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He brings to the role 10 years’ experience supporting clients in the US, Europe, and Africa in a variety of projects, from go-to-market strategies to digital transformations and company reorganizations. Lopes began his career as an engineer for a Portuguese oil company, where he discovered his passion for the management side of the business. When he joined BCG, a leading strategy consulting firm, he grew from Associate to Project Leader, while earning an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2019.
DoubleVerify (DV) which provides a software platform for digital media measurement, data and analytics, has appointed Brandon Whitelock as Enterprise Sales Director for Northern Europe. He joins DV from LoopMe, but having also been at the former buying and planning team for Dentsu UK, Amplifi, he will bring a wealth of experience to his new role, promoting and raising awareness of DV’s product stack amongst Dentsu's client portfolio.
Immediate Media has appointed Cath Waller as its MD of Advertising. Waller will have overall responsibility for Immediate’s entire commercial team, and will report to Immediate Platforms CEO, Sean Cornwell. She has held senior sales leadership positions for almost 20 years and has been with Immediate since its formation in 2011, most recently as Commercial Director of Immediate’s content studio, Imagine, which she launched in 2016. Under her leadership, Imagine has established its reputation as a leading in-house studio.
Independent media agency, Yonder Media, has made two new hires to bolster its team. Adam Boucid has been appointed to the role of AV Director, with responsibility for spearheading AV planning and buying across all the agency’s clients. At the same time, Chen Cui joins as Yonder Media’s Planning Director, and will lead a number of the agency’s key accounts, including Alzheimer’s Research UK and Ornua Foods. Boucid and Cui both join from Starcom. Boucid was latterly AV Director at Starcom. Cui’s previous role at Starcom was Senior Planning Account Manager, where she led the planning account for Samsung, working across all ecosystem products in the UK market.
Digital entertainment and media platform, Azerion, has announced a series of new hires, including Nicola Webb as UK Sales Director; Eva Starosolsky as Senior Research Executive. This follows a period of rapid growth for Azerion after the recent acquisitions of Hybrid Theory and Radionomy. With more than 20 years’ experience in the digital space, Webb was previously EMEA Director of Sales at Tapjoy, where she ran the London agency and sales performance teams. Prior to this, she was Director of Partnerships at Brainient. As Senior Research Executive, Starosolksy will provide pre-and post-campaign analysis, platform updates, social listening, cultural insight, and trend reports to Azerion’s clients. Completing the new hires are Pauline Yoo to Account Director; Sophie Heaphy to Account Manager; Phoebe Madedega to Account Manager; Annie Port to Account Executive; and Petre Coman to Sales Account Executive. Lucy Zakrzewska has also been appointed to the Head of Sustainability – Supply Side and Megan Cross has been appointed to the Head of Sustainability – Demand side as the company develops its environmental consultancy capabilities.
ADM Group has appointed current Global CEO, Justin Barton, to the role of Executive Chairman, and Ed Colflesh as Group CEO. Barton has been CEO of ADM since 2014. He has overseen a significant expansion of the business, as well as a re-shaping of the investor base. He will focus on the growth strategy for the group and will continue to be based in London. Colflesh has been CEO of the Americas and has overseen the growth of the region to become the largest part of the ADM business. He has worked in senior roles in the marketing and advertising services sector for over 15 years. Based in New York, he will lead the business globally and continue to focus on executing its growth strategy, delivering its sustainability and technology strategies and optimising its global operations.
App development firm, The Distance, has appointed a new managing director and senior leadership team. Former Head of Operations Louise Toal takes up the MD role after five years with the business, with Project Team Lead Gemma Oliver filling Toal’s previous role. Former MD and company founder, Anthony Main, will move into a more strategic role, continuing to oversee and support the business’ ambitions for growth. They are joined on the new leadership team by Senior Account Manager Tom Boatman who has been with The Distance four years. Toal joined the company in 2017, after building her own virtual assistant company. She will now take responsibility for the day-to-day running of The Distance.
History Hit, the podcast, SVOD and content platform founded by historian Dan Snow, has appointed Jennifer Bennett as its first Commercial Director. Bennett will be responsible for driving commercial growth for History Hit through content partnerships. The role will also include overseeing the launch of new services for subscribers and expanding the brand’s events proposition, as History Hit looks to expand its portfolio after a successful 2022. Bennett brings over 15 years’ experience in the media, advertising and entertainment industry. She has delivered partnership solutions across tech, sport, gaming and music sectors and has worked within diverse, multi-cultural environments in several markets, holding senior positions at companies including Branded, Kinetic WPP, Clear Channel and JCDecaux.
Marketing and customer experience firm, Acoustic, has named Mark Cattini as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. Cattini has served on the company’s Board of Directors since May 2022 and joins Acoustic as it evolves the marketing digital experience for its customers to meet the growing needs of today’s businesses. He brings on board Adam Stewart as Chief Technology Officer and Jay Schaufeld as Chief People Officer, underscoring the company’s continued investment in its technology and talent. Cattini brings over two decades of experience as a successful CEO at enterprise software companies, including MapInfo, Autotask, and ClickSoftware.
Strategic digital agency, Hallam, has appointed Julia Charlton as Account Management Team Lead. Before joining the team, she spent 13 years working across senior marketing and client services roles, implementing strategic marketing solutions for a variety of businesses, from leading tanning brand St Tropez to Virgin’s Formula E race team. Charlton heads up the account management function, leading her team, and also acts as a Strategic Account Director on some of the agency's biggest accounts.
Madhive, which operates a self-service platform for TV advertising, has hired Kristin Wnuk as Senior Vice President of Sales. In this new position, she will build on Madhive’s success powering streaming campaigns for local broadcasters and advertisers, continuing to drive adoption of the company's infrastructure solution for modern TV advertising. She will also provide an entry point for national brands and adtech companies to leverage Madhive’s enterprise streaming TV infrastructure to execute local campaigns at national scale. Prior to joining Madhive, Wnuk launched the local advertising sales departments at both Roku and Hulu.
