Nest Connected Thermostat M2M Internet of ThingsNpower has partnered with Nest Labs to launch ‘Intelligent Fix, an online tariff which offers customers a smart thermostat.

Nests Learning Thermostat can be set to program itself automatically based on the user’s schedule or controlled from a smartphone. It also uses sensors to detect when the house is empty, in order to save energy.

“With Ofgem saying that UK residents spend on average about £1,342 per year on energy, and heating responsible for over 60 per cent of the bill, we wanted to help put consumers in control of their energy use,” said Lionel Paillet, Nest general manager for Europe. “We are thrilled to partner with npower in the UK and introduce savings and energy-awareness into more homes.”
