O2 Improves Mobile Homepage

O2 says it has improved the mobile Internet experience for its customers. The network has improved its homepage in response to customer demand for higher quality access online from whatever device they use to connect to the Internet.
The new homepage has an in-built toolbar making it easier for customers to get to their favourite sites. Browsing websites online or searching for new sites is now much simpler and has been adapted to make the mobile web experience closer to the way consumers browse the Internet from their computers. Customers can also now personalise their homepage by choosing from a range of content and services, accessing their favourite content as soon as they connect.
Weve learned a lot from our iPhone customers, says O2 UK Marketing Director, Alistair Johnston. Customers expect the mobile Internet to be more like the Internet experience at home or the office and that is our objective.
The enhanced service launches initially on 15 handsets including the latest devices from Nokia and Sony Ericsson, and will roll out on to other handsets over the next few weeks. Customers will not need to make any changes themselves as the improved homepage will automatically replace their O2 Active homepage, while customers with non-compatible handsets will continue to have full access to O2 Active.
