Orderella has partnered with proximity tech firm Tamoco to bring NFC and iBeacon functionality to its mobile ordering and payment app.
NFC tags, placed in marketing materials on tables and at POS in partnered bars, will trigger a download of the app, or launch it for any existing users. Meanwhile, Bluetooth beacons will be used to push notifications of special offers to users of the app when they are near to participating venues.
“We’re always looking at how we can use technology to enhance a customer’s night out, which makes our new partnership with Tamoco particularly interesting," said Orderella CEO Dennis Collet. "It provides customers with another way to interact with their favourite bars and restaurants, while also giving operators more opportunities to attract and increase footfall.”
