Piri Consolidates Radio Position

Mobile marketing company Piri has added nine more radio stations to its client list, bringing the e total number of stations now using its Piri Live solution to 25.
Piri Live is an online interface specially designed for radio stations and broadcasters. It enables them to see text messages arriving in real time from listeners; prompts DJs about voting or competitions; and picks winners for competitions. Piri Live also provides opportunities for broadcasters to carry appropriate advertising messages in return texts and to collect listener data.
The six Welsh stations owned by Town & Country Broadcasting, along with Reading 107 FM, Oxfords FM107.9 and Adventure Radios Dream 107.7, signed up with Piri this month. They join the CN and Tindle Radio Groups who started using Piri Live earlier this year. Both CN and Tindle are using Piri Live in all studios across their 16 stations. As well as adding a valuable mobile response mechanism for their advertisers, the stations are using Piri Live for text the DJ, voting, text competitions, and receiving pictures for display on the station websites.
In the current climate, it is more important than ever to find cost effective ways of improving our offering to listeners and advertisers, says David Rees, Group Programme Director at Tindle Group. Piri Live gives us all the functionality of other more expensive mobile response systems at a fraction of the cost. It has made a significant difference for us across the operation.
