Powa Launches Beacons and Transaction Platform PowaTag

PowaPowa Technologies has launched its mobile retail offering, PowaTag.

PowaTag is made up of two parts – Beacon, which uses Bluetooth beacons to push location-dependent information and offers to customers while in store. Transact, meanwhile, enables consumers to make purchases from TV, radio and outdoor advertising, as well as in-store displays and PA announcements, using smartphones visual and audio sensors.

“We believe that PowaTag is the future of true multichannel advertising as well as retail,” said Powa CEO Dan Wagner. “It enables merchants and businesses to collect smart data about their customers, products and promotions and finally be able to quantify exactly how successful an advertising campaign has been. It allows marketers to develop their campaigns and extend the reach of point of sale across any traditional and non-traditional advertising channels.”

Powa has 240 brands on board, including Universal Music and Carrefour, as well as 35 charitable organisations, who can use the service to collect donations free of charge.
