Teespring launches Branded Stores and opens up Instagram Checkout access to creators

Social commerce platform Teespring has announced the launch of Branded Stores. It’s a fully customizable product allows a full shopping experience for creators, including URL, storefront, listing page, checkout and custom packaging.

As part of the launch, Teespring has partnered with Instagram to open up the Instagram Checkout feature to Instagram creators. This was previously only available to 26 premium brands, including Prada, Nike and Zara. Instagram Checkout will be offered to top Teespring creators using Branded Stores.

This latest integration comes in addition to the YouTube merch shelf, Twitch Merch extension and subscriber-only merchandise features all previously introduced by Teespring.

“Breaking down the barriers between content and commerce has allowed us to build deep integrations with great partners,” said Teespring CEO Chris Lamontagne. “Branded stores with Instagram integration has huge promise to create unique commerce moments for the world’s top creators.”

Branded Stores and Instagram Checkout are free to use and are initially being rolled out through an invitation-only scheme, though this will be expanded “soon”.
