Visual discovery engine Pinterest is collaborating with design brand The Conran Shop as part of London Design Festival, enabling people to engage with the inspiration they see in-store to save and take action with a personalised shopping journey.

Over the next month, visitors to The Conran Shops flagship Chelsea store will experience an interactive journey through the world of design thanks to a one-of-a-kind installation created in partnership with Pinterest. The experience aims to blur the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds, and begins with a landmark window display that presents customers with a winding pathway lined with 1,600 red-topped ceramic pins.

The pathway will lead visitors into the store to discover The Conran Shops broad product range, which includes new special editions designed by a selection of renowned brands. Customers will be able to interact with the in-store installation through Pinterest Pincodes, which will be featured alongside products throughout the store. These codes will connect customers to various boards created on The Conran Shops Pinterest profile, providing more details and additional inspiration.

Customers will also be able to use their smartphones to explore the products and activate unique digital experiences via NFC technology. By tapping their smartphone on featured tags, items can be automatically added to a bespoke Conran Wishlist on the customers personal Pinterest board.
