TikTok invites users to #WalkWithMe for Mental Health Awareness Week

Digital creative company Gravity Road is working with TikTok to create #WalkWithMe campaign for Mental Health Awareness Week.

A range of activities will be available LIVE on TikTok and its Wellness Hub.

This morning, body positivity activist Florence Simpson went for a walk to talk with her 609,000 followers about all things mental health.

At 5.30pm this evening, Simpson will co-host a LIVE with life coach Josh Zimmerman, drawing from their own mental health experiences and giving tips on how they manage their mental wellbeing. They will also flag up resources that are available for when people feel like they may be struggling.

TikToks safety features will be highlighted, ensuring that the platform is a safe space for its users.

The theme for this years Mental Health Awareness Week is nature, so the aim is to encourage TikTok’s audience to take a walk and send in questions for Florence using the LIVE Q&A function, opening up a frank and open dialogue around mental health.

“Over this past year, the TikTok creator community has opened up a conversation about mental health, sharing and uniting others through their own inspiring stories. Thats why this Mental Health Awareness Week we want to celebrate everything our community does to support one another with the launch of #MentalHealthAwareness, our Wellbeing Hub and a series of LIVE events, placing our community at the heart of these important conversations” said Head of Creator and Product Marketing, Europe, Paul Marvucic.
