Urban Airship secures $25m in funding to accelerate global growth

Digital growth company Urban Airship has announced it has completed a $25m (£18.9m) Series F funding round. The firm, which already operates at financial break-even, is planning on using the funds to accelerate its global sales, marketing, custommer success and product innovation.

The funding was led by Foundry Group, with additional participation from existing investors including True Ventures, August Capiptal, Intel Capital, Verizon Ventures, QuestMark Partners and Franklin Park Associates.

Alongside the funding announcement, the company revealed it has now delivered more than 2 trillion messages. Its new Digital Growth Platform enables businesses to tightly target and coordinate messages sent across any channel, including apps, websites, mobile wallets, email, SMS and more. Marketers are able to integrate their existing systems, databases or analytics tools into the platform, or use Urban Airships native channel for outreach.
