Emporio Armani Teams with Spotify for Music App

armani sounds comboFashion brand Emporio Armani is hoping to bring the worlds of high fashion and pop music together with a new free app, powered by music streaming service Spotify.

The Emporio Armani Sounds app is available on iOS and Android, and gives users access to exclusive playlists put together by artists including Calvin Harris, interviews with performers such as Boy George and Mark Ronson and exclusive performances from the Klaxons and others.

The app also enables users to hear playlists which are playing at local Emporio Armani stores, and which soundtracked the fashion brands latest catwalk shows. It will be updated weekly with new content, and expands on the Emporio Armani Sounds events that have been running since 2014.

The app is part of a series of marketing campaigns centred around celebrating 40 years of the Armani brand, which has included events highlighting the brands contributions to design, cinema, beauty and fashion.

“Giorgio Armani has always been acutely aware of the power of music, and, personally, has eclectic musical taste. From classical Italian to North African, from Twenties jazz to contemporary R&B, he seeks out a soundscape that is varied and inspiring,” said an Emporio Armani spokesperson in a blog post announcing the app.

Emporio Armani Sounds offers exclusive access to Armanis world of music, presenting new songs, work by new and established artists, special playlists, music from Armani events and music played in Emporio Armani stores, as well as exclusive invitations to listen to special tracks and performances.”
