Flexion Enabling One Free Trial Every Second

Flexion has announced that its Wrapper technology is enabling more than one free trial per second and is adding over 4m consumers per month to its platform. 

Flexions wrapper technology allows developers to wrap code with extra purchasing options, such as free trials, without releasing multiple versions of the same app. The wrappers have been deployed by developers selling on Nokia, Samsung, and Sony-Ericsson stores. 

The idea is that the wrapper technology increases conversion rates by offering one-click purchasing following a free trial. Since end-users can play a game in full on a trial basis, they are more likely to buy the full version of the game compared to if games were sold using the pay-and-download model, says Flexion. 

“Instead of making developers add billing SDKs to their game code, we let them wrap their products with the Flexion wrapper which automatically enables in-app billing for products,” says Jens Lauritzson, CEO of Flexion. “We have done this successfully for some of the biggest publishers and our plan now is to make these services available to the whole developer community. We are aiming for a growth rate of 100m new consumers per month within the next 24 months.”

The wrapper also comes with an add-on feature called Discovery. This is Flexions on-device portal, that promotes more games to customers.
