Mobile Entertainment Podcast Launched

Podcast_picMobile content industry veteran JF Robinson has a launched a free weekly podcast which enables mobile content industry professionals to hear interviews, opinions and information about mobile entertainment from industry leaders and innovators.
The Mobile Entertainment Industry Blog & Podcast  is available free via iTunes, Odeo & other pod-catchers, and via RSS subscription. The launch episode included an interview with mobile video and content innovator Gerrit Jan Kronijnenberg, CEO of Comsys in the Netherlands, while July 10ths podcast discussed mobile marketing and viral content distribution with Cascada Mobile president Neil Closner.
In upcoming episodes, Nick Desai, COO and Chairman of Juice Wireless will discuss JuiceCaster,  the new community-based, user-created multimedia offering, and Brent Dusing, CEO of Cellfire, who just closed a $10 million (5.4 million)  investment round, will dig into mobile marketing and the ability to send coupons to mobile phones. The podcast also features reports on trends and research, as well as opinion and commentary on happenings within the mobile content industry. 
Future episodes will feature interviews with carrier and technology executives, as well and handset manufacturers and other mobile content professionals. The podcast is published every Monday at midnight, Pacific Time, 8am GMT and Tuesday noon in Tokyo.
A recent report from Analysis found that in Europe alone, total mobile services revenue is forecast to grow at a compound average growth rate of 6.2% from 138.4 billion (95.7 billion) in 2005 to 198.4 billion in 2011. Another study, from from ABI Research, found that by  2011, Mobile TV services will have some 514 million subscribers worldwide, up from only 6.4 million at the end of 2005.
