SapientNitro Buys Clanmo

Marketing and tech services firm SapientNitro has bought Clanmo, a Germany-based mobile marketing agency, from MindMatics AG, which previously operated three divisions – Mopay (mobile payments); Melonmobile (mobile content); and Clanmo (mobile marketing – but which has now decided to focus on mobile payment solutions.

SapientNitro says the acquisition strengthens its existing capabilities to provide clients with outstanding end-to-end mobile expertise, and further enhances its offering for multichannel marketing and commerce in the European and, particularly, the German market.  

Clanmo is a full-service mobile agency focused on strategy, communications, design, and technological implementation.  Its solutions range from mobile marketing and mobile brand experience, to mCommerce and mobile social media. It is based in Cologne, and has 50 employees. Clients include Audi and Lufthansa. The company will retain its current management team and offices.
